Pragmatics is a part of semiotics and of a bigger branch of linguistics that deals with words uttered by people who take part in the verbal interaction. It examines the words in context in which they are used. It focuses on how people communicate, drawing special attention to the reasoning and interpretation of utterances depending on a particular context,and also to the mechanisms of coding and decoding the information in a message.
