ILP

Looking at all the topics and studies that we have seen in the area of ILP. Could you think of a research you think would be interesting to consuct? why do you think it would be interesting? With whom would you conduct it? What research measurment do you think could hlp you find the information you are looking for?

Cross-cultural pragmatics

Think in a situation when communicating in a different culture made you feel strange (not just the language but also the situation). What happened? Why do you thnk that was? Did you create any steretopyes based on this experience? Could yu explain it through cross-cultural pragmatics?

Politeness

In the next few days, observe what politeness linguistic resources people use around you. Describe them (use the actual language in which they actually happened to illustrate) with appropriate vocabulary using one of the views of politeness (specify which one you are using).
Read the entries of at least two classmates and leave comments on their polite/impolite situations and how you would classify/describe them.
